Write two essays of 150 words each on the following:
a. Time Waste is Life Waste.
b. An Exciting Adventure.
a.Time Waste is Life Waste
Swami says , “Time Waste is Life Waste”. He has said that because time and tide wait for none. The time that has gone is like a bird that has flown. It will never return. That is why, as human beings, it is our duty to make best use of our time. As students we should use every moment of our time properly. We students should primarily use our time first for studies and also for play. In English it is said, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” So, along with studies we should also use our time in playing good games that improve our health.
Finally, we should do our prayers regularly so that God blesses us with a good mind and a healthy body.
b. An Exciting Adventure
An adventure need not be a special activity associated with feats of physical endurance. Even an activity like the visit to a village for a student who has been born and bred up in urban surroundings can be considered an adventure. It becomes exciting when we come across persons and places that we have never seen in our life.
I was part of such an adventure when I visited my Grand Uncle's village called Kamalpur near the town of Aligarh. This village is located 10 kms from the town of Aligarh. The way to the village has improved over the years, the rough road being replaced by a neat asphalt road.We went to the village along with my parents, my elder brother and my grandparents. It was certainly a joyride in our Maruti Car.
We witnessed wonderful fields where there was an abundant growth of crops. In the evenings we could see peacocks moving around and dancing when the weather got cloudy. A special mention has to be made of the wonderful farm animals that we saw. The cows and buffaloes gave milk in abundance.
What I specially liked was the ride on the brown horse that was arranged for all those who were interested. Both my elder brother and I rode the horse as we were instructed to do.
We had wonderful lunch at the village and returned home in the evening.
Global Warming and How It can be prevented:
Global Warming means an overall rise in the temperature of the atmosphere surrounding the Earth. Before we talk of how it can be prevented, we should know what are the dangers of global warming. It has been predicted that global warming will result in the melting of ice all around the world which in turn will increase the levels of the ocean, posing the greatest danger to life on earth. If the sea level goes on rising, there is a possibility of all the continents being submerged under water.
Therefore we should find out how does global warming occur. It is to be noted that human beings are themselves responsible for such a rise in global temperature.
Our factories and vehicles emit smoke that increases the presence of carbon dioxide in the air that makes the temperature of the atmosphere to rise.
The major part of global warming has taken place because human beings have started to cut down trees without thinking. Trees give us oxygen and take carbondioxide. When we cut down trees , the oxygen in the air becomes less and the carbondioxide increases. This again increases the temperature of the air leading to global warming.
Global warming can be prevented by all the citizens of the earth deciding not to cut trees and instead each one should plant at least one tree in his/her life time to prevent global warming.
